In January, I started studying to become a Travel Agent. It definitely wasn't a hard study, and I was able to get my certificate. In May of that same year, I got my business cards in the mail, and was able to talk to a few clients and even booked a group of eight to go to Mexico thanks to my awesome friends. While I get in contact with a few peoples monthly, booking them hasn't been so great. A lot of people seem to only contact me when they need infos about where to look for a good hotel to stay then they go and book their own vacation. I am not too upset about it as this is just something I did for fun.
In April, I met a Tahitian missionary who was serving in the Calgary mission. He came to Taber for p-day one day, while he was serving in Lethbridge. It was a blast meeting him, and being able to just talk with someone from home. Marc took his lunch break early, and with his uncle, we all went out and met our Tahitian Elder. Elder Manarii eventually went home and married his sweetheart who also served a mission in Washington if I'm not mistaking.
Marc's parents also came back from their mission to the Congo, so we had a get together in Cardston. We were all happy to see them. We had a fun time visiting with the cousins too.
June, I forgot to mention the time we spent at the IB park in Lethbridge. It was an unplanned trip to Lethbridge where I needed to do some banking. Errands took less time than I thought so we decided to just make a day of it, or I should say an afternoon of it. We had fun, well the boys did. I had my cast on so I mostly just sat. We went to the Nature center and enjoy playing the games on the roof.
Beside the Birds of Prey in Coaldale, we also visited the Gem of the West Museum. The history of the building itself was definitely my favorite part of the visit.
