Crowsnest Pass 2018

As you have noticed by now, we love the Pass.
Marc and Kyle planned this trip since last year. Their first trip in the pass for 2018. They try every week to go biking together in Lethbridge to prepare for the trails they would be doing not only in Alberta but also British Columbia.

May 21st, We stopped by Kyle's first to get Marc's bike all tuned up then grabbed some breakfast and off we went. Once in Frank, we made a quick stop to grab more grub for the morning before dropping Marc with the boys. Once they were all up the ski hill, Kyle came back down to drop his truck then I gave him a ride back up with the guys. The boys and I went back down for lunch, and "shopping". Shopping? Yup! Everywhere we go on our family getaways, we always buy the boys a treat and a small toy. It's tradition! Our morning was quite relaxing, just the three of us, enjoying lunch, and the sweet sound of the river near by.

Then we went to the playground by the skill park and waited for Marc and the guys. From there, we went to Chinook lake, and hiked around the lake itself. There were still a little bit of snow by the lake but it wasn't cold at all. The temperature, and weather was perfect for a hike as a family. There was a little bit of mud here and there but nothing you couldn't deal with. We had a great time! Once we got close to the car, I had another episode of losing sight in my right eye this time, accompanied by severe pain. It just hit me without warning. So we decided to pack and go home. Fortunately, my sweet husband was here so drove while I just lied down on my seat, all the way to Barnwell.

I definitely recommend hiking around Chinook lake.  It's fairly easy! One of my favorite hike.

Our next trip to the pass is this coming Saturday. It's a special week end for mountain bikers hence us going. It's Marc and Kyle's second year going to this. The boys and I would be biking too. Excited!
