Payne Lake-Waterton 2018!

I'm on a roll with all these posts writing and publishing. Fells like a chore trying to catch up on the time I missed not writing regularly. Am I going to learn from it? Probably not.

The week of June 03rd up to June 08th was frustrating. I don't know why but the boys were almost impossible to deal with. I needed to go somewhere on the week end and be away from home. If I could just have a relaxing Saturday where I wouldn't need to do anything, I would be okay with it.

June 08th, Marc went biking with Kyle in Lethbridge. We dropped him at the Indian Battle park. The boys went playing at the playground, then we went for a nature walk. By the time Marc came to meet us, it was nine o'clock (at night). We were a bit hungry, so we grabbed some food then went to the College to eat.

Off to the weekly bike ride with Mr K.

Can't live without his babies's hugs and kisses.

Papa and his special big boy!

The next day, June 09th, We went back to Lethbridge. Then we headed out to Payne Lake. We made sure we had lunch packed before the drive to the lake. Unimpressed with what we saw in Payne Lake, we ate our lunch and decided to go to Waterton instead. Am I glad we did. The drive was relaxing, since I didn't have to do it. Just what I needed. As soon as we neared the entrance of Waterton, we could see the damages some of the trees, bushes, and mountains had suffered through, due to the Kenow Fire. There were no denying that a fire had threaten our beautiful Waterton. We were all just amazed by what we saw and even more amazed and really impressed by all of the hard work that the fire fighters had to put in in order to keep the town and the historic Prince of Wales hotel safe from the blazing flames. We enjoyed our time there. We didn't bother doing any hikes or things like that. I just wanted to sit by the lake and play with the boys. Because we had a great lunch, we didn't even bother eating in Waterton. The boys had their usual treat at Pat's and we walked around town like we usually do. Marc found a couple long sleeve shirts he like, so we got him a couple of them. The rain started falling, so we left and off to Lethbridge we went. We grabbed some groceries at Superstore and got home to continue our none eventful, relaxing day. It was just what I needed to get over a frustrating week.

Since then, things have calmed down. I can't complain! The boys are both on Summer holidays. I get to sleep in and not worry about packing their lunch bags for school.
