Today was a fun filled day!
My boys were so excited to go out in their simple, homemade costumes, it made me so happy to have taken the time to do them. I might will have to make a greater effort next time.
We only went to friends' houses this year and the boys got, just enough candies to last them a couple days each.
We waited for papa to come home from work, then the boys chose a design on the computer to make their jack o lantern. We played together, then headed out to Walmart, then BP's for supper, and enjoy a movie at home before heading out. We stopped to a few friends houses in Taber then continued on to Barnwell.
We had gushing winds here but it didn't keep the kids from trick or treating.
Once home, the boys had some of their treats, watched a movie, played with both mama and papa, and off to bed they went while Marc and I watched some documentaries together, and laughed.
It was a great day! Although I am not overly fond of Halloween, I try to embrace it for my children. It is worth seeing their smiles, excitements, and joy.
What would they want to be next year? I don't know but it should be FUN!. I am definitely favoring the homemade costumes.
